What is an anonymous proxy?
An anonymous proxy is a proxy server that hides user requested content by stripping the “blocked” site’s IP address from the request. As the traffic passes through a traditional content filter, the only information recognized is the IP address of the proxy server. If this proxy is not on the filter’s blacklist, the information packet is allowed to pass and the user is now accessing inappropriate content without administrators and management knowing.
